What a big surprise

Bom, curtam o pdf

Future Work Skills 2020

In researching this topic, Apollo Research Institute drew upon foundational forecasts made by the Institute for the Future in areas as diverse as education, technology, demographics, work, and health. This content was enriched and vetted at a workshop that brought together experts from a wide range of disciplines and professional backgrounds. During this workshop we engaged experts in a number of group exercises to think through key drivers of change and how these will impact workplace skill requirements.

Key Findings
We chose to highlight six drivers—big, disruptive shifts that are likely to reshape the landscape for organizations and workers. Although each driver is in itself important when thinking about the future, it is the confluence of several drivers working together that produces true disruptions. We then identified 10 skills that we believe will be vital for success in the workforce:

Sense-making: ability to determine the deeper meaning or significance of what is being expressed

Social intelligence: ability to connect to others in a deep and direct way, to sense and stimulate reactions and desired interactions

Novel and adaptive thinking: proficiency at thinking and coming up with solutions and responses beyond that which is rote or rule-based

Cross-cultural competency: ability to operate in different cultural settings

Computational thinking: ability to translate vast amounts of data into abstract concepts and to understand data-based reasoning

New media literacy: ability to critically assess and develop content that uses new media forms, and to leverage these media for persuasive communication

Transdisciplinarity: literacy in and ability to understand concepts across multiple disciplines

Design mindset: ability to represent and develop tasks and work processes for desired outcomes

Cognitive load management: ability to discriminate and filter information for importance, and to understand how to maximize cognitive functioning using a variety of tools and techniques

Virtual collaboration: ability to work productively, drive engagement, and demonstrate presence as a member of a virtual team

O Estrategista atua no “O QUE” e o designer clásssico no “COMO”.

So, “What Should We Do Next?” Enjoy it!

Eu gosto desta definicao:

A strategist is responsible for conceptually and holistically thinking of a future direction based on incomplete information. Rui Martins, Director

The new Menlo Park campus has nine buildings and room for 3,200 people. And still, the designers were put not just in the same building, but on the same floor–just one open-plan space over–as Zuckerberg and Cox, all of which facilitates the impromptu executive-designer desk-side conversations and hallway conferences that employees say is one of the keys to the company moving fast and generating breakthrough ideas.

“Design is more strategic than ever,” Aronowitz says. “Designers who come to Facebook have a massive scale of audience and a pretty big impact.”

Vale a pena ler o DESIGN DRIVEN INNOVATION

“Market? What market!
We do not look at market needs.
We make proposals to people …”
Ernesto Gismondi
Chairman, Artemide

Beijos, queridos! Boa Pascoa.

D.

Gostei muito des depoimento. Enviem para RH People

………………………………………………………………………….
One of the reasons I like to blog about small businesses and design is
because they can react quickly. So if I can spark an idea, they can
run with it, and make a change and try it out. But I felt compelled
to touch on why human resources needs design.

I have been working in HR and IT for about 12 years, and I’m currently
a HR/HRIS Director, so I’ve seen quite a bit. I’ve walked the line
between the functional and technical folks, I’ve been on both sides,
and they tend to think very differently. Sadly, what’s missing though
in most organizations is a design element.

When HR and IT work well together things get done, but the focus tends
to be on efficiency and process, and don’t get me wrong, I love them
both. The part that is often overlooked is that HR is like sales,
they are selling applicants on the organization. They are also
providing various services to internal customers, but again, the focus
tends to be on process and speed.

One of the ways design thinking could help would be to focus on the
the customer experience, and I mean all of the customers. HR needs a
huge dose of empathy, for all of their customers. HR needs to
evaluate themselves not just on the number of transactions, but also
on how they make their customers feel. I’m not talking about surveys,
I’m talking about putting yourself in the shoes of the customer,
observing your customers, and then designing your processes to best
serve them.

HR departments tend to be siloed into functional areas such as
benefits, compensation, employment, and so on. A better way to be
structured is by customer type. HR deals with applicants, new hires,
employees, managers, executives, retirees, and others. These
customers don’t care about silos, they want a helpful, seamless
experience.
